All-American store creates American jobs
Our Buy American Mention of the Week!
by Roger Simmermaker
April 26, 2012

When it comes to the commitment to carrying 100 percent made-in-America merchandise, few stores measure up to the Made in America Store (www.MadeInAmericaStore.com) in Elma, New York.

Since opening day on April 3, 2010, Made in America Store owner Mark Andol has been able to boast that all of the products in his brick-and-mortar store are 100 percent made in USA.

The Made in America Store offers hundreds of products by over 50 patriotic vendors so the American consumer can patronize American products to support the U.S. economy.

If there's one thing that the economic downturn has taught us, it's that Americans can use the power of their pocketbook to buy American-manufactured goods, thereby creating more American jobs.

But what is particularly interesting with the Made in America Store, it's that they have been instrumental in creating jobs simply because of their persistent insistence on 100 percent American content in the products they sell.

For example, back in March of 2012, the Made in America Store had no choice but to drop a previous vendor that was found to be using foreign-made bags for the ice they were supplying the store. As it turned out, the ice company was getting the bags for its ice from Canada.

So, the Holiday Ice Company changed suppliers to keep their contract with the Made in America Store, and ended up employing more American workers at the same time. It just goes to show that if everyone was a little more aware of where their dollars are going, we could keep more of them here in this country.

But the Made in America Store offers much more than just ice, of course. At their brick-and-mortar store in Elma, New York, and also on their website www.MadeInAmericaStore.com, you'll find clothing & accessories, grocery items, pet products, toys, hardware, and recreational goods as well, just to name a few categories.

If you're stocking up for summer fun, you'll find American-made footballs, soccer balls, horseshoe sets and bocce sets. For winter time, there are American-made snow shovels, snow sleds, a snow castle kit and even a snowball maker.

If you like to go hunting, fishing, or camping, the Made in America Store has you covered with American-made knives, fishing lures, ponchos, gun cases and decoys.

Of course there are many more products than I could mention here, but the point is that it's encouraging to know there is such a wide variety of American-products available to keep any patriotic consumer content with their purchases.

And because of their unwavering support of our American military, the Made in America Store offers our active duty members of the U.S. military and our veterans a 10% discount on every purchase, every day.

The Made in America Store offers many great ways for consumers to help their country rebound from the economic recession by making it easier to purchase 100 percent American products.

You can visit their online store, or you can do what over 50 tour buses now do on a regular basis, and that is make a stop at their store in Elma, New York (just 20 miles north of Buffalo and an hour from Niagara Falls).

The Made in America Store invites you to join in supporting their mission to restore U.S. manufacturing jobs by providing truly American products with 100 percent American materials and labor. In today's economy, it's an idea whose time has clearly come.
