Our Buy American Mention of the Week!

This Sunday, May 8th, when you surprise Mom on Mother's Day with an All-American breakfast in bed, you may be surprising yourself too. You'll be surprised to know that when you're making your own Mom happy, chances are good you'll also be making a lot of other Moms across America happy too.

Why? Because everything you select and place on your mother's day breakfast tray could easily be made, supplied or produced by America's other working mothers. Supporting their products and their companies means you'll be supporting them too. If the companies they work for are thriving, every Mom they employ will thrive too.

What's an All-American Mother's Day breakfast look like? Try this:

  • Imagine a beautiful American-made Anchor Hocking vase.
  • Into that vase place American-grown flowers from Harry & David. (1-800-Flowers and ProFlowers.com import all their flowers)
  • Then, serve her a cold glass of Florida's Natural orange juice made from 100% Florida Oranges. (Minute Maid imports oranges from Brazil)
  • Pour her a cup of fresh, hot Hawaiian Coffee from USA Coffee Company
  • Serve her any of Pillsbury's or Pepperidge Farm's baked goods.
  • And that evening, when the day is almost through, let her know how sweet she is:  give her a kiss ... and another one, this from Hershey's, would be nice too.

But beyond a beautiful and loving Mother's Day breakfast, there are other things that every Mom, working or non-working, cares about. The schools her children attend and the libraries they frequent, the hospitals for the ER and the police that protect their neighborhood 24/7. Buying goods and services from American workers and companies fills the U.S. Treasury with tax revenue to support all the services and benefits that Moms count on.
