Love this site. I know a great American manufacturing company in Bushnell Il. They make hammers, its Vaughn and Bushnell, so buy Vaughn hammers when ever you can. |

We are losing and we don't care. My insatiable appetite for cheap foreign products has overwhelmed me and my community. I have already put my brother and father out of work. I am next. The noose has begun to tighten, do I drop that made in (insert country name here) box and grab the rope, or just keep that stupid grin on my face because I just got a great deal! If its the latter, my smile won't last long. |

Finally...someone who sees it as I do. I am aghast that most of the cars I see are foreign badged. Since 1967, I have only purchsed American Badged cars (Chevy, Pontiac, Jeep, Cadillac, Buick, Plymouth, Saturn, Dodge) and intend to continue doing so. I'm upset every time I go into to a store, whether a 5 & 10 or a high priced place, and find everything is made in China. Every Home Depot, Walmart, Target, Radio Shack on down the line carries predominantly Chinese made goods. I know what goes on in Chinese factories.
By destroying America's factories we are leaving ourselves wide open strategically. We can never trust that the currently friendly foreign nations where we are outsourcing manufacturing --including components used in our military goods -- will stay friendly. We are driving down wages and creating a new corporate aristocracy of multi-nationals that are "above the law."
Americans seem more interested in sports scores and what actress is sleeping with what actor than they are in understanding the dynamics that are quickly pushing them into lower and lower standards of living....no pensions, no Social Security, no medical insurance, 80 hour weeks....hopefully the word about Simmemaker's great work will spread.
We must be missionary like in educating fellow Americans how to buy American and make sure they understand why they should.
Roger is doing the public a tremendous service. Too bad more don't know about it.
